Q: How do I get Microsoft .NET?
A: You can download it from Microsoft right here.
Q: I don't use Outlook for my calendar. Can I use CalFeeder?
A: The current version of the PC software only supports Outlook. However since our CalendarData.com service is based on open protocols like RSS, xCal and OPML, we expect to be able to integrate with many other types of calendar software and services soon. Please fill out our survey and let us know what software you use for your calendar.
Q: I use a Mac / Linux. Can I use your software?
A: We currently don't have software that runs on the Mac or Linux but are looking into it. Mac users who use Apple's iCal software can subscribe to our feeds in ICS format. In the meantime we encourage other developers to build in support for RSS & xCal and would love feedback on whether there is interest in support for these platforms- please fill out our survey.
Q: What is the difference between CalFeeder and CalendarData.com?
A: CalendarData.com is a web-based service that aggregates calendars from all over the Internet and organizes them into standards-based "feeds" that represent a specific interest, like the schedule of a countries holidays, a sports team or a school district. CalFeeder is software you install on your PC that periodically downloads these feeds from CalendarData.com and other sources and keeps those events updated in your Outlook Calendar.
Q: Can I edit the events in my Outlook calendar once they have been imported by CalFeeder?
A: You can, but if updates happen to the underlying events those changes you made can be overwritten.
Q: Can I import a feed of private calendar events?
A: Soon.
